Hi! Welcome to Scissors & Sage. I am so glad you found your way here. My name is Victoria, and I started this blog in 2013 as a creative outlet during grad school. What started as a self-care project turned into a big part of my life! I have really enjoyed growing Scissors & Sage over the years, and it introduced me to a community of pretty cool crafters and bloggers.

A lot of life has happened in the last seven years. Like many long-term projects often do, Scissors & Sage laid dormant for a little while from 2017-2020. In these last three years, Anne and I moved to Chicago, got married, started new jobs, bought our first home, and adopted our favorite little (read: giant) dog named Joni.

I thought I would start Scissors & Sage back up in hopes of using it as I originally intended: as a self-care project. Thinking about the fall and winter we are about to embark on, it is my hope that this blog will help me (and us) stay curious, try new things, get creative, and feel connected. Victoria’s Instagram photos were regramed by Design*Sponge, A Beautiful Mess, and Craftgawker.
